The Sustainable Living Podcast (SLP) is launching its ninth season – AI for a Sustainable Future, a special editorial series that explores how Artificial Intelligence (AI) is shaping a greener and more equitable future. Produced in collaboration with the Embassy of Sweden in Romania, the founding partner of the Sustainable Living Podcast, this season brings forward vital conversations about innovation, responsibility, and the impact of technology on education, the environment, and society.

The first episode features H.E. Anna Hällerman, the Swedish Ambassador, who discusses Sweden’s national AI strategy, sustainability education, and the role of international partnerships in fostering ethical and inclusive progress.

“We believe that AI when guided by ethical principles and international cooperation, can play an important role in the green transition and foster more inclusive societies while also ensuring our competitiveness.  This partnership reflects Sweden’s commitment to innovation, education, and global cooperation for a more sustainable future” - H.E. Anna Hällerman, the Swedish Ambassador in Romania

Why AI – Artificial Intelligence?

Artificial Intelligence is not just a tool of the future — it is a key resource for the present. Across Europe, AI already plays a major role in the green transition, and Sweden stands as a model of best practices through platforms such as AI Sweden – the national center for applied AI, with over 160 active partners across all sectors.

In Romania, the need to understand and adopt AI technologies in a sustainable way is becoming increasingly urgent — whether in education, industry, the circular economy, or inclusive digitalization. This podcast season responds to that need by offering accessible, inspiring, and data-driven content.

What to Expect in Season 9:

Each episode will explore a different sector, with a focus on technological innovation and best practices, European policies and regulations, consumer behavior and social impact, and real-world data on how AI contributes to sustainability.

Key sources referenced include UN’s AI for Good reports, the EU Green Deal Digital strategy, World Economic Forum data, and real-world industry case studies at both local and global levels.

This season is designed for professionals in tech companies and start-ups, researchers and sustainability innovators, students, teachers, and trainers in digital education, national authorities, NGOs, and public institutions interested in ethical AI, as well as citizens committed to a more sustainable and digitally responsible future.
